Exams are over!

I think for most primary schools in Singapore, the final year exams are over. What a relief for both students and parents.

My daughter finished her exams in Sept, and fortunately, she did well in all subjecs. But it was not the case for her mid year exams. She fared badly in her mid year Maths paper. She just managed to scrape through. I understand that some of her peers did not do well too, with some even failing the paper. I had a look at the paper and there were a couple of questions which stumped me and which I found to be tricky and beyond their level. And mind you, she is only in P2 this year. Can't help but empathise with the mother who wrote a letter in the Straits Times earlier this year, whose daughter also attends the same school as mine and is in P6. Read about it here:
